Just like we learn to see value in simple things, we must also learn to see the value God has already placed in us. God created each of us with love and purpose, giving us unique talents and strengths for a distinct reason. Like marvelous ornamental rocks that are beautifully shaped and polished by the elements, we are refined by God’s Word and treated as incredibly precious. Yet, when we fail to recognize this divine investment, we easily feel small or discouraged in our daily lives.
In God’s history, whatever it is, you can acquire it only if you perceive it as precious. If we do not value the talents and identity God gave us, we will become distant from the very purpose He intended for us to fulfill. Each of us has a specific destiny and domain; once born, we must work zealously within that domain, doing whatever our hands find to do with all our might. When we discover and accept who we truly are in God’s eyes, we stop comparing ourselves to others. Instead, we gain absolute confidence, clear direction, and a stronger hope for our lives.
Let us not settle for a mediocre life of faith by ignoring our God-given potential. As determined believers, we are called to make ourselves into a masterpiece before God. By actively studying, making an effort, and taking action on our unique missions, we embody true empowerment—leading our lives directly to the Trinity while recognizing the profound value within ourselves and those around us.
